Chef’s Dinner August 2016 – Summer in the Pays Basque

Cafe Presse invites you to celebrate Summer in the Pays Basque!

Recently, our Chef de Cuisine Patrick MacWhorter had the opportunity to visit the French Basque Countries for the first time.  While there, he toured the workshops of artisan cheese makers and charcutiers, shopped the farmer’s markets and sampled the rich culinary tradition of this amazing region (and also drank a couple glasses of wine, we suspect).  His travels, as well as a recent tasting trip to SW France taken by Wine Director Joanne Herron, have inspired our summer 2016 Chefs Dinner, which will feature traditional traditional dishes from the Pays Basque and wine from the surrounding regions!

What:     5-course family-style dinner featuring dishes
inspired by the Pays Basque
When:   Tuesday August 30, 2016, 6:30pm
Where: The back room at Café Presse
Cost:      Dinner including wine $75
