Really Big Mushroom

My wife and I purchased a home in France earlier this year.  The house, which is in the town of Orthez, in the Pyrénées Atlantique Département, is for the present our vacation home and eventually intended as a place for our retirement.

Since we will one day live in Orthez, I have taken to keeping abreast of happenings there via the local newspaper, la République des Pyrénées.  Evidently, after recent heavy rainfall, a forager in the nearby town of Sauveterre-de-Béarn found a cèpe mushroom (also known as a porcini) that measured 22 centimeters across and weighed over 2 pounds.  Check out the article.
